Second Life News: Update Your Web Browser to Ensure Secure Payments

As part of our ongoing work to keep Second Life transactions secure and in compliance with applicable regulations, we are updating the browser requirements for Second Life’s web cashier (the tool you see when you login on the web and go to make a payment). Effective June 15, 2016, you will need to use a web browser that supports TLS 1.2 in order to access the Second Life web cashier; if your browser does not support TLS 1.2, you will not be able to access cashier to send, receive, or exchange L$ after that date. Please check that your browser’s security support is up to date. You can do this simply by visiting https://www.howsmyssl.com/ and checking that it detects TLS 1.2 in the Version section
